Mechanical Failure

Filed under: Journal — Howard @ 7:33 pm

Howard Here:  Our rally on Sunday in Boston at the Boston Commons area was a very noisy affair.  Several of the 30 counter demontrators blew air horns in the ears of several Revere Riders and supporters.   They were stoical about it and simply put up w/ their 2 hours of non-stop screaming w/ megaphones and profanity in our faces.

Upon leaving the area, the muffin heads followed the Riders back to their bikes.   Cindy was the first to put her helmet on and started up her large Harley.  As the protestors pressed closely to scream a last, few insults, her throttle stuck wide open.   The blast was deafening to all those around and for the first time all afternoon, the muffin heads backed up and covered THEIR ears!!  For many seconds she was unable to stop the thunderous noise bellowing out of her twin pipes.

Cindy was able to fix the problem the next day w/ some machine lubricant.  The problem (of the sticky throttle) has not reoccured.   The muffin heads reappeared in greater numbers at both Providence and Hartford.
