Just three months after the birth of his baby daughter North, a source close to the family told MailOnline that Kim will be accompanying her 36-year-old rapper beau for at least some of his North American tour. The tour, to support Kanye’s latest album Yeezus, will be his first in five years, with Kendrick Lamar appearing as the opening act. Kanye, 36, made the announcement on his official website on Friday, along with a tour poster revealing that tickets will go on sale September 6. The first show will take place in Seattle on October 19. Earlier this year, there were conflicting reports regarding Kim’s willingness to join her beau, with Radar suggesting the reality star was more interested in maintaining a regular schedule for herself and baby North. ‘Kim is very unhappy that Kanye wont be around as much because of his work,’ the website said, adding that the star was ‘contractually obliged’ to remain in town over the winter for the filming of her family reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. However, a source close to the family told MailOnline that the report was not true, insisting that ‘Kanye wants her to be with him on tour.’ New tour: Kanye will go on the road for the first time in five years and apparently hopes to be joined by girlfriend Kim Tour buddies: Kim, pictured with Kanye before giving birth to baby North in May Adorable: Kanye debuted this picture of baby North West last month Kim is believed to still be staying at the home of her mother Kris Jenner while she and Kanye’s mansion undergoes renovation work. Kanye recently debuted a photograph of baby North on Jenner’s TV talk show Kris and gave an interview where he discussed his family life. ‘It’s all this talk about baby pictures and can you get paid for the baby picture or do you want to put it on a magazine,’ he told Kris. ‘And for me and your daughter we have not attempted to get paid for anything, we have not attempted to put it on a magazine. ‘You just stop all of the noise and I thought it would be really cool on her grandmother’s season finale to bring a picture of North.’ The star also revealed that his relationship with Kim and the new addition to the family had given him a new lease of life, six years after the death of his mother Donda. ‘After I lost my mother, there were times I felt I would put my life at risk,’ he told Kris. ‘I felt like sometimes I didn’t have something to live for.

Kanye West Tour

The tour will kick off on 19 October in Seattle and comes to an end on 7 December in Houston. No word on whether he will take the tour overseas yet. The announcement of his tour did come as a surprise somewhat given his reluctance to tour as a solo artist over the last couple of years. He chose not to tour on the back of his 2010 release My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and has only appeared at festivals and one-off shows (like his recent Kazakhstan performance ) as a solo performer since his 2008 ‘Glow in the Dark’ tour. He did go on tour with Jay-Z to support Watch The Throne however. On top of this, the fact that he became a father less than two months ago may have put him off going on tour, but clearly it hasn’t. Tickets for the ‘Yeezus Tour’ go on sale on Friday, 13 September. The full list of dates are below. Kanye West 2013 Tour Dates: 19 October Key Arena, Seattle, WA 20 Oct.
